I've been using the sub outputs for my monitors, my thinking being I don;t want to mess around with the master fader while recording in case it affects the recording. Is that the correct way to use the sub bus?

Thanks so much for this video. I found it very informative and useful and very basic and easy to follow. I am 85 to 95% convinced I'm going to buy this recorder for live or even production. It seems fairly simple to use and yet has multiple functions in which I like and the price is also right too. I get sick ofLittle for tracks and then on a big ass studio mixing console to have to pay a guy couple hundred just to mix some tracks for me or using audio software which I don't like doing either this tool is right in the middle so thanks again

This is right where I am at and why a bought the model 12. It is a lot to learn as compared to my old Behringer. I just did not want to chase after vintage 4 tracks.

Is there a way to make this work on stage? With the input gain so high, surely this increases the risk of feedback from other instruments. Does the output gain reduce that risk? Thanks

Im new to production, so maybe I'm wrong. I do live band shows and I been using the SUB to plug a bass amp and send the isolated bass signal to it. So far, it has done wonders to the sound sistem since we have no bass monitor. 😅 Also; thanks for your videos! I learned a lot and I'm excited to try the new techniques I learned from you! 😊

Mine records too quietly no matter how high I have the mic line trim, faders in the same spot as you, doesn't matter is I use a preamp to boost my signal either, idk what's wrong with my 414

I feel so late to all of this (just stated with a 424 mki), but this is all really helpful. I use a similar method of lining up the click track on my looper with the click of the daw.

hey buddy. Simpe question over here. What advatages to you have adding the apollo twin intertface as the main interaface and then sending the audio to the tascam? I have the tascam an im planning on using it as an interfafe and eliminate the use of the apollo twin. what adnatages are there for buying one? ive been getting allot of recomentations but havent really gotten a clear justification.

Confused as to why you would add dirt to the sound of your guitar. Its sounds like it is clipping... so it throws me off. Would prefer a more clean signal.

solo switches are for listening in solo, you muting everything to listen in "solo" is a waste of your time

Not for live performances with guitar looping, and that's sad. Electron can easily make great live looper from digitakt by software update. Add start stop recording from midi input and digitakt will be best looper.

Hi Mike, you seem to know your shit. Here's a doozy for ya, something that in my opinion should be a no brainer and every mixer capable of doing, but noooo not on this darn thing. I want to master my compositions from Ableton live to my Akai GX-4000D tape deck in DAW mode. But no matter what routing or configuration I attempt, NO SIGNAL comes out of the sub outs. None, zero, ziltch. What the heck is the sub out even for if I can't get a signal out of it? What am I doing wrong? This should be a very simple thing on a mixing board. There should be a sub output engage button that sends sub out signals to whatever we have it plugged into, or is this just too much to ask? lol Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for this - very helpful. The M12 headphone arrangement is mind-blowingly stupid. I come from 424 mkiii world, where things made sense and life was easy. M12 world seems tediously complex and life is vexatious.
